Choosing the Right Mastectomy Post Surgery and Prosthesis Bras for Occasions

In a year, there are at least 100 days when we have to attend events such as weddings, get-together parties, pool parties, BBQs, ball games and more. Many events mean many outfits.
There are so many wonderful styles of tops and dresses that you would love to wear to any party. Then is the time, when you will think about how to coordinate outfits with your bra, especially if you’ve recently undergone any type of breast surgery, including mastectomy or reconstruction.
Don’t worry! There’s a solution for every kind of outfit. At Pink Ribbon, we provide customized mastectomy bras and prosthesis, lymphedema sleeves, and other mastectomy apparel - so that it goes well with your favorite event dress and does not make you feel uncomfortable.

For Shoulder Dresses - Wear Strapless Post Surgery Bra - Your wardrobe should definitely have a strapless post-surgery bra if you own different styles of dresses and tops. They have been designed in such a way that post surgery one can use them with many different types of straps and sleeves, even with one-shoulder dresses.  The straps can be removed and reattached in different ways easily.
For Racerback Dresses - Wear Sports Mastectomy bra - After surgery when you will return back to your normal routine, for running or for workout, you will require sports bra. Sports bra goes well with racerback tops. The sports mastectomy bras are comfortable thus making it an excellent choice among active survivors.
Alternatively, if you’re opting for a top or dress with a racerback, you could wear a post-surgery bra with a clip this will pull the straps inward and conceal them from view.
For Backless Dresses - The backless dress is one of the trickiest garments to find a suitable bra for. With a backline too low, there is only one option, using stick on or adhesive prosthesis bra. Stick on or adhesive bra provides safety and comfort as much as any other bra and it is aptly suitable for those who have had a unilateral mastectomy. Adhesive breast form would be the most comfortable option even if both of your breasts have been removed.
Regardless of which kind of outfit you opt for, the most important thing is to feel good and comfortable: choose a customized mastectomy and post-surgery bra that fits well with your outfit and makes you feel happy and confident.
